"Investigator Upgrade” is the newest and most contemporary training product in the market for those already in the investigative field, bringing together investigators from both the government and business sectors. It is headed up by Ray Foster and Wayne Nixon, who are currently involved in investigator training in Victoria, delivering packages across the board.
Program presenters are all active in the investigation and training fields, with many years of hands on experience in both private and government areas. “Investigator Upgrade” brings real experience and contemporary training to the table for your investigators to use.
Two (2) unique training programs have been specially designed for those investigators desirous of upgrading their skills and confidence in this specialized profession. The first is a one week forum that re-affirms the broad principles of investigations, “Investigator Upgrade” looks at the rules of evidence, evidence collection, investigation planning and avenues of enquiry. A special focus is on interviewing skills – probably the most important skill required by all investigators, in eliciting information from witnesses and suspects. It also concentrates on how to prepare, plan and organise an interview of a suspect or person of interest. Using the now worldwide recognised cognitive interviewing model - P.E.A.C.E. - students will come away with enhanced skills that lead to the prospect of better outcomes. The second is a two day investigative interviewing package only as described above.
The forum provides formal lectures and tutorials, as well as practical application of their learning. It also garners opportunities for networking, liaison and development of professional partnerships. Having a broad spectrum of investigation professionals together provides a unique opportunity to compare processes and skills from other areas.
