A special focus is on interviewing skills – probably the most important skill required by all investigators, in eliciting information from witnesses and suspects. It also concentrates on how to prepare, plan and organise an interview of a suspect or person of interest. Using the now worldwide recognised cognitive interviewing model - P.E.A.C.E. - students will come away with enhanced skills that lead to the prospect of better outcomes. The second is a two day investigative interviewing package only as described above.
The forum provides formal lectures and tutorials, as well as practical application of their learning. It also garners opportunities for networking, liaison and development of professional partnerships. Having a broad spectrum of investigation professionals together provides a unique opportunity to compare processes and skills from other areas.
